About
Vivian Kuang offers engaging, highly individualized private piano lessons for students of all ages and experience levels. Whether you are taking your very first music lesson, returning to the instrument after time away, or refining advanced skills, each lesson is tailored to align with your goals, interests, and learning styles.
With over a decade of classical piano training, teaching, and performance experience, Vivian emphasizes a strong foundation in technique, music reading, and musical understanding. Lessons are rooted in a high-quality, traditional approach while remaining flexible, creative, and student-centered.

Teaching Philosophy
Lessons are designed to be enjoyable, rewarding, and empowering.
Piano lessons should be both structured and inspiring. A strong technical foundation allows students to play with confidence, while creativity and expression keep learning exciting and meaningful.
Each student’s musical journey is different. Some students thrive in classical repertoire and sight-reading, while others gravitate toward playing by ear, understanding chord progressions, or exploring improvisation.
Every student is met where they are with lessons adapted to support steady, motivating progress.
Above all, lessons are designed to foster a genuine love for music—encouraging students to feel proud of their musical journey and create a lifelong passion.
